Coming up in and around New London:

July 12, 17 & 19: 7:30 pm; Sun.July 13: 2pm matinee ::: "Crazy Town" Play Performances. In this family friendly production, get to know Babs and Jim, the hapless anchors for the most messed up news broadcast in the strangest town in America. A fun, fast paced show. Ticket price is $15 for adults, $10 teens 12-18, $5 under 12; available at Mord’s Hardware in New London or Whitney Music in Willmar. Sunday, July 13 ::: National French Fries Day. July is a month for eating and celebrating. July 18 is Nat'l Caviar Day, while the 19th is Nat'l Hot Dog Day, the 20th Nat'l Lollipop Day AND Nat'l Ice Cream Day, the 21st is Nat'l Junk Food Day and the list of National food holidays continues. Oddly enough, National Nude day is in July, as well, on the 14th.

Wednesday, July 16, 7pm ::: New London Royalty Style Show . Covenant Church, New London. Tickets available for $5 at Ali J Boutique or Angels & Ivy, or for $7 at the door.

Fri-Sun, July 18-20 ::: New London Water Days . Includes Customer Appreciation & Sidewalk Sale Friday AM, Street Dance Friday eve, Saturday Kids Fishing Tourney, see the City website for a complete schedule. Parade starts at 11am on Sat.7/19; vendor sales noon-6pm.

Sunday, July 20 ::: Lake Superior Day. Always the third Sunday in July, Lake Superior Day was started in the early 1990s by a group of Thunder Bay residents who sought to celebrate the body of water. Now, Lake Superior Day events can be found in many places around the lake including communities in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan and Ontario.

Sunday, July 20, 6:30pm ::: Jason Gray Concert. Enjoy this FREE Christian Concert at Neer Park in New London. From Gray's website: "[Minnesota native,] Jason Gray has emerged as a songwriter of extraordinary depth, with a noteworthy ability to convey deep theological truths in engaging three-and-a-half minute songs."
